Paul Naschy is a actor, writter, director, and producer. He's been starring as the werewolf Waldemar Daninsky in a huge sieres of movies starting with "The Mark of the Wolf Man" in 1967 and now the new upcoming movie "Licanthropo".
The first Naschy/ Waldimar Daninsky werewolf film.
Waldimar, the descendent of lycanthrope Count Imre
Wolfstein, must kill his ancestor when a silver cross
is removed from the tomb. In the fight, he is also
infected and becomes a werewolf. A strange couple try
to help him, as it turns out, they are vampires. He can
only be killed by one who loves him, and so his mistress
must take him down.
Aliens from a dying world plot to conquer earth by
praying on man's superstitions. Bringing two dead
scientists (Michael Rennie and Karin Dor) back to life,
they use their knowledge to re-animate various earth
monsters, including the werewolf Waldemar Daninsky,
Frankenstein's monster (both played by Jacinto Molina),
the mummy Tao-Tet, and the vampire Count de Meirhoff.
A scientist who turns into a werewolf, murders his
philandering wife, and is captured by an insane female
psychiatrist.
Doctors remove the fatal silver bullet, bringing
Waldimar back to life. As he is to be destroyed by one
who loves him, here we go again... He goes back to his
castle. Nearby rests the body of vampiress Waldessa.
Two students in search of her tomb, accidentally bring
her back to life as well. One of the girls is killed,
the other imprisoned for a ritual sacrifice on
Walpurgisnacht. Naschy saves her, so how does she thank
him?
Immediate follow up to Jekyll... An evil Hungarian
countess curses one of Waldimar’s ancestors. Years later
, Waldimar shoots a wolf, and the curse begins anew. As
the moon comes up each night, people are ravaged by the
werewolf. Finally, Waldimar’s matronly servant warns his
mistress, who kills him with a silver dagger, then lives
on to have his baby. The film ends with the wife and
child visiting his grave by moonlight. In between though,
Waldemar Daninsky turns out to be a man with a romantic
penchant, easily falling in love, and subsequently
doomed by a woman who has been set up to initiate the
curse. But while open sex destroys one, true love can
save temporarily, even if that salvation is in death.
Two sisters vie for Daninsky's attentions. The sexy
little one seduces Daninsky, only to regret her skills
when he turns into a werewolf during lovemaking.
Waldimar joins an expedition to Tibet, in search of the
Abomidable Snowman. While there, he is lost in a storm.
Venturing into a cave, he encounters some exotic
sorceresses. At first their sexuality seems pleasing,
but then, one bites him, giving him the curse. The
expedition is ambushed and slaughtered by bandits. A
monk offers to help Waldimar undo the curse with a
rare flower, but first he must use his wolf curse as a
skill to crush the fortress of a villain, who with his
sinister female sidekick, has abducted Waldimar’s main
squeeze and put her to torture. Oh, yeah, and he fights
the yeti.
Executed in the 18th century, a grotesque half-man/
half-beast remains buried for 200 years. When its
peaceful resting place is violated, it seeks revenge.
Naschy plays so many parts they are too numerous to
count. He is the jealous unsuccessful brother of a
deceased famous horror actor. He is the sorcerer ghost
of the actor, who watches over his son. He appears to
his son in the appealing forms of his favorite creations
Frankenstein’s monster, Phantom of the Opera, in a most
memorable scene, as Waldimar. The boy greets Waldimar
and asks, "Do you know Larry Talbot?" (Chaney Jr.’s
werewolf) to which Daninsky nods.
This movie is the newest and is a very secretive projects. Not much is known
yet.
